My Background

After finishing my MBA, I worked as a restaurant manager for some years, then decided to pursue a career in psychotherapy. I returned to school, became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and began a private practice working with individuals of all ages. I have since completed certification in Hypnotherapy from the American Hypnosis Training Academy, and am a Certified Archetypal Journey Guide. Next to working with individuals, I love teaching classes especially for women. Classes I have taught recently in the Seattle area include Exploring Careers, Moon Phases and Worlds of Gaia. Thanks to my early start in business, I bring a no-nonsense blend to the practical and the intuitive to my work, aiming at a holistic perspective on integrating body, mind and spirit. I use highly effective techniques to resolve personal concerns and to encourage positive change. I like to read and to travel. I’ve done research with women on ancient symbols and the effect they still have today. I frequently apply the knowledge I have gained from these wide-ranging studies and places to assist you in your healing process. My goal is to assist you in gaining tools for transformation and to support you in fully realizing your abilities.

Therapeutic Approach

I like to begin with an open mind. We can draw from many different sources. We can explore your thoughts, your inner talk and daily chatter. Discovering emotions may help sort out your inner feelings such as sadness, fear, anger, guilt or shame. We can follow your intuition for a transpersonal journey into your subconscious, home to our dreams, our inner child and our spirit or higher self. We can also work with your behavior and actions to identify what may impede your growth and livelihood in order to remove blocks that limit your potential. If you are interested in the more technical aspect of my work, my theoretical training includes the approaches of Rogers Jung , Adler, Perls, and Maslow. My PhD studies focused on studying altered states of consciousness, dreams, symbols and archetypes. Archetypes are allies common to all from our unconscious world; These forces and guides intervene at important points of your life to encourage, challenge and empower. They help you move from where you are to where you want to be.

For clients interested in the transpersonal approach, I can offer processes to awaken the wider dimensions of consciousness. This provides a larger perspective to life, looking at questions like “What is my purpose?” or ” What did my soul come to accomplish?” The transpersonal approach may include cultivating expanded states of consciousness such as meditation, inter-life experiences, hypnosis, and intuition. This can help you to unfold your own intuitive and subconscious awareness so you can foster your own self-healing and experience a greater self-expression.
